Lisa graduated from Strathclyde law school in 2017 and then went on to complete her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice. Lisa decided to become a lawyer in order to help others. She is passionate about access to justice and has a background in working with children, so is keen to make the asylum and immigration process as easy on them as possible.
Lisa recognises that the immigration process can be difficult on all members of the family and her office wall is currently a small art gallery where her clients children have enjoyed drawing pictures, something the clients are grateful for.
Since starting her traineeship at Katani and co , Lisa has focused on immigration, mainly asylum cases. Lisa has also dealt with many family reunion cases and further leave to remain applications.
Lisa specialises in Iranian and Kurdish clients but has a wealth of experience working on cases from all around the world.
Lisa thoroughly enjoys working with clients and her favourite part of the job is giving them good news, luckily this is something she is able to do regularly!
Outside of work Lisa enjoys walking her dog, spending time with friends and family and learning new skills – the latest being a foreign language.
