Emma is a motivated and dedicated team member at Katani & Co Solicitors. During the same year she simultaneously obtained a First Class Honours degree in BA Law and the accelerated LL.B degree from the University of the West of Scotland and Strathclyde University. Emma has achieved an LL.M in general law, focusing on human rights, criminal law and negotiation as well as various commercial modules. Emma developed a keen interest in immigration law and human rights during her academic studies at Strathclyde University. She took the opportunity to take part in tutoring law as well as continuing her studies which undoubtedly led to obtaining the Diploma in Legal Practice, in 2019. 
Prior to commencing her traineeship at Katani & Co in 2019, she also obtained extensive experience by proactively working as a paralegal at various criminal law and commercial law firms as well as a number of charity organisations. This involved in offering legal guidance in relation to housing, welfare rights and employment matters. 
Having been employed at Katani & Co in a legal capacity for several months prior to becoming a Trainee Solicitor, Emma has carefully developed her knowledge in various aspects of the firm’s focus. She is genuinely committed to the pursuit of the firm’s core values of justice and equality, serving in the best interests of each client. 
Emma particularly enjoys helping clients with their immigration matters, however, she deals with a wide variety of work such as assisting clients with family reunion applications, asylum claims, dealing with removal directions and deportation orders, drafting bail applications and generally carrying out research. Throughout all necessary stages of any claim, Emma ensures to properly maintain a professional yet friendly approach when making progress towards her client’s ultimate objectives. She finds rapport building very natural and efficient when working with clients to offer tailored support and guidance during these uniquely stressful times in their lives
Apart from her legal interests and work, Emma is always interested in taking part in charity activities. She is always eager to volunteer in student mentor roles to encourage those who require additional support due to physical, social and economic vulnerabilities, in life. Emma makes use of all her skills and languages (English and Farsi) when offering help. 
Emma thoroughly enjoys keeping busy and taking part in outdoor activities with her family and friends, however, when relaxing indoors; she finds herself enjoying various hobbies like reading, playing the piano and painting.
